Hi. I'm Amy Pearl and I've dedicated my life to helping leaders like you overcome tough challenges at work, ignite their passion and achieve their goals. I'd love to help you, too!

I created everything in Lead Ignited over 3 decades, first, as a corporate gal working for a big bank and then, by coaching hundreds of professionals, from CEO's of multi-billion dollar companies to high potentials just starting out. I've gained a reputation as a no-nonsense yet fun-loving coach who asks thought-provoking questions and delivers actionable ideas.

Every other Thursday, we'll meet from 8:30 - 10:30 EST to focus on today's most important leadership topics. Prior to each session, you'll spend about 30 minutes preparing for the session using our online learning platform and a downloadable Power Pages workbook. After each session, you'll have an implementation week to try new things and get some quick wins!

Kickoff Meeting

We'll begin by meeting with you and your supervisor. We'll discuss the program details and establish your objectives. This way, we can customize the program to achieve your goals.

Getting Started

Manage your priorities, not your time. We'll help you discover how to create a Collaborative Workplace and refine your priorities to focus on the workplace you desire for your team and yourself.

Inventory your strengths and identify improvement opportunities to be the best you can be. You'll get anonymous feedback from your direct reports, peers, supervisor, and others in an objective way. Who else will be in Lead Ignited?

The diversity of the group is one of the most interesting parts. You’ll meet both senior and mid-level managers from a variety of industries including manufacturing, healthcare, technology, human services, insurance, and education. Most importantly, the class size is small. So, you’ll get a lot of individual attention.

How do I know Lead Ignited will address my issues?

Our goal is to achieve your goals. So, we begin by meeting with you and your supervisor to understand your objectives. Then, on the first day, we’ll work with the group to develop an agenda that addresses everyone’s top priorities. We’ll use your one-on-one coaching sessions to address your unique needs and to make sure you’re applying your new skills.

How are the classes structured?

Every other Thursday from 8:30 - 10:30 Eastern Time, we hold a virtual session for a total of four months. In advance of each session, you'll complete about 30 minutes of prework.  Throughout our time together, you’ll participate in various assessments, case studies, problem solving challenges, creative thinking, book reviews, and a lot of group discussion to share ideas and feedback. Even though you’ll be busy, our approach is very informal and engaging. It’s a great way to invest in yourself and re-energize for the future!

What is the cost?

At Work Ignited, we recognize that the fee for our services is your investment in anticipation of higher levels of performance and ultimately, greater financial return. So we strive to offer our high quality service at a fair value. The fee for participation is just $1297. 

What if I miss a session?

Most likely, you won't want to. Previous participants have told us that this is the best part of their week. But, we understand that you might have to miss a session, especially if you're on vacation. All sessions are recorded and housed on our private course site. You can watch (or re-watch) them any time.

Can we bring Lead Ignited in house?

We're happy to facilitate Lead Ignited for a team of your high-potential leaders. We'll build a customized program to meet your unique needs. We'll even help design mentoring programs and follow-up action learning programs to keep the learning going.

4 Tectonic Shifts That Make Online Learning a Necessity

For years, corporate e-learning was full of boring, click-through-as-fast-as-you-can programs that were primarily used for compliance and tactical training. But today's digital courses are full of interactive live sessions, engaging prework, robust communities, rewards-based gamification, and so much more. Organizations and their employees are embracing this new way of learning now more than ever as a result of four workplace shifts.

These are big shifts, like the tectonic shifts that happen in an earthquake. They have changed the landscape of work forever and for the better if you're a learning professional or coach who desires the flexiblity and freedom these new approaches provide. 

TECTONIC SHIFT #1: Virtual Culture Dilemma

During the Covid 19 pandemic, everything got derailed, sending people to all corners of their homes in search of comfortable, functional workspaces. They developed new ways of juggling work and family life and learned work from home technologies. Some people used this as an opportunity to find a new position or to choose an entrepreneurial path. Others simply were displaced and distracted, checked out, or just tried to keep up.  This created our first tectonic shift – and that’s a cultural shift. Employers faced a virtual culture dilemma that shifted the way employees relate, communicate, and collaborate at work.

A survey of 2,500 business professionals revealed that the top two skills for success in virtual work are problem solving and social or emotional skills. By you delivering this type of learning content, you'll help people continue to adapt to this shift and to thrive in today’s virtual world.

TECTONIC SHIFT #2: Employers as a Safety Net

In the past, organizations served only as a financial safety net by helping people earn a weekly paycheck. Now, companies are facing the second tectonic shift as they recognize the need to serve as a wellness safety net, ensuring their employees are physically, mentally, and emotionally healthy and strong. This creates a need for learning content that goes beyond compliance, skills, and management training. Personal development programs that focus on personal wellness and overcoming life's challenges are desparately needed as part of today's workplace curriculum.

TECTONIC SHIFT #3: Loss of Social Connections 

Today, many people are working from home or in hybrid arrangements.  Even though they love doing their laundry while working from home, today’s workforce misses the camaraderie of a group of like-minded professionals coming together for a common purpose. They miss working and learning together.

Smart employers are adapting to this third tectonic shift by creating more intentional social connections for their teams. In some cases, this is a one-time event like a teambuilding session or virtual happy hour. Other organizations are taking a more formal approach by creating employee resource groups or employee affinity groups. Others have tapped into technology by creating online communities for employees with similiar interests to learn and share.

TECTONIC SHIFT #4: The Power of Online Learning

The fourth shift employers have embraced is the recognition that online learning can be just as powerful as traditional, in-person events. Today, people are much more comfortable using online reference materials for their work, Googling possible solutions to problems, and following YouTube channels to build their professional expertise and personal well-being. I don’t think there’s a person on the planet who hasn’t been part of a Teams meeting, Zoom session, or a Facebook live. 

 

But, let me tell you where the real shift has been. In the past, only the largest employers had budgets or bandwidth to widely embrace online learning. With modern-day techniques and easy-to-use technology right at our fingertips, robust online learning programs can easily be created and delivered. And, you can make it happen!
