I created everything in Lead Ignited over 3 decades, first, as a corporate gal working for a big bank and then, by coaching hundreds of professionals, from CEO's of multi-billion dollar companies to high potentials just starting out. I've gained a reputation as a no-nonsense yet fun-loving coach who asks thought-provoking questions and delivers actionable ideas.

Every other Thursday, we'll meet from 8:30 - 10:30 EST to focus on today's most important leadership topics. Prior to each session, you'll spend about 30 minutes preparing for the session using our online learning platform and a downloadable Power Pages workbook. After each session, you'll have an implementation week to try new things and get some quick wins!
January
Kickoff Meeting
We'll begin by meeting with you and your supervisor. We'll discuss the program details and establish your objectives. This way, we can customize the program to achieve your goals.

Getting Started
Manage your priorities, not your time. We'll help you discover how to create a Collaborative Workplace and refine your priorities to focus on the workplace you desire for your team and yourself.

Your Mindset Matters
Ignited leadership takes the right thinking. We'll use the Agile EQ Profile to explore your natural mindsets and build your stretch mindsets so you can feel confident and prepared heading into any situation.

Listening & Communication
Ignited leaders are intentional when communicating with others. You'll use Everything DiSC and our Ignited Listening Profile to get personalized tips to communicate with your direct reports, peers, boss, and other colleagues to bolster your credibility, build relationships, and manage tense situations.

Inventory your strengths and identify improvement opportunities to be the best you can be. You'll get anonymous feedback from your direct reports, peers, supervisor, and others in an objective way. Then, we'll review your results in a one-on-one meeting to develop personalized strategies for your success.

Your Strategic Playbook
Become crystal clear about your strategy for your department and your work. You'll write Your Playbook based on research and input from others. Then, you'll create a system of accountability for yourself and your team to maximize your contribution and stay focused on the big picture.

Who else will be in Lead Ignited?
The diversity of the group is one of the most interesting parts. You’ll meet both senior and mid-level managers from a variety of industries including manufacturing, healthcare, technology, human services, insurance, and education. Most importantly, the class size is small. So, you’ll get a lot of individual attention.
How do I know Lead Ignited will address my issues?
Our goal is to achieve your goals. So, we begin by meeting with you and your supervisor to understand your objectives. Then, on the first day, we’ll work with the group to develop an agenda that addresses everyone’s top priorities. We’ll use your one-on-one coaching sessions to address your unique needs and to make sure you’re applying your new skills.
How are the classes structured?
Every other Thursday from 8:30 - 10:30 Eastern Time, we hold a virtual session for a total of four months. In advance of each session, you'll complete about 30 minutes of prework. Throughout our time together, you’ll participate in various assessments, case studies, problem solving challenges, creative thinking, book reviews, and a lot of group discussion to share ideas and feedback. Even though you’ll be busy, our approach is very informal and engaging. It’s a great way to invest in yourself and re-energize for the future!
What is the cost?
At Work Ignited, we recognize that the fee for our services is your investment in anticipation of higher levels of performance and ultimately, greater financial return. So we strive to offer our high quality service at a fair value. The fee for participation is just $1297.
What if I miss a session?
Most likely, you won't want to. Previous participants have told us that this is the best part of their week. But, we understand that you might have to miss a session, especially if you're on vacation. All sessions are recorded and housed on our private course site. You can watch (or re-watch) them any time.
Can we bring Lead Ignited in house?
We're happy to facilitate Lead Ignited for a team of your high-potential leaders. We'll build a customized program to meet your unique needs. We'll even help design mentoring programs and follow-up action learning programs to keep the learning going.

Pay Yourself First
I have a darling friend named Sam. She is ambitious, energetic, and talented. Not long ago she wanted to leave her job that had burned her out. She was making a career change, had a desire to start her own social media management business, and came to me for advice.
During our conversation, we talked about how much she should charge for her services. She said to me, “Amy, I need to make $3,000 each month to cover my expenses.”
I said, “Whoa Sam! You are thinking about this all wrong. You are not going into business just to cover your expenses. You are going into business to make money. Then, you can have the fabulous life you desire. $36,000 per year netting in a zero bottom line is not going to get you there.”
When you're in business, it's easy to tally up your list of expenses and think: well, that's not bad. I can cover that each month. The problem is, you walk away with nothing. So, you've started your own business, only to make less than you were making at your J-O-B.
You see, you have to pay yourself first. Your salary should be the first expense on your list. If you don’t pay yourself first, your business will become not just financially draining, but mentally and physically draining for you and your family. It will fuel more doubt in yourself. You will regret going to work every day and the choices you made to start your own business.
It was at that moment in my conversation with Sam that she began thinking like a business person. She shifted her thinking from what I NEED to earn to what I WANT to earn. What will allow her to have freedom in her life to spend time with her family, to pursue her hobbies, to enjoy her time? She identified that number and wrote it down. That is the first number on the top of her expense list. Then, she added her $36,000 in expenses onto that number to identify her target revenue targets.
About a year later, I received the most lovely email from Sam. She shared that she had developed a solid book of clients, as well as a relationship with a referral partner. She was loving the work she was doing and enjoyed serving her clients. Then, she went on to celebrate that she had surpassed her annual earnings from her previous full-time job. Even better, she was on a path to double her personal income next year.
